Why I have a good knowledge of HTML

How great/terrible was Neopets?

Great because it was the best thing ever.

Terrible because it was the best thing ever and took up all my time/the family's internet/phone cause that's still when we were on the ol' one line dial up.

So for anyone who doesn't know what Neopets is, you are missing out on your second life. Actually Second Life is a thing, and anyone who doesn't know what that is, it's your second life, and if you know of Neopets but not Second Life you are missing your third. I stop this now.

Anyway. Neopets is a whole world (well the world is Neopia) but it's this website where you have these pets and they can have pets and you can paint all of them with brushes and feed them and battle them and go on quests and build a house and collect your interest from the bank and talk to strangers in the chatrooms.

I had three Neopets:

My first was an Eyrie (species name) called MoonKawn and he was super cool.

Look how pixelated but majestic he looks.

My second Neopet was a Wocky called Chansey472 so 'Chansey' was obvs a very popular name for kids to name their cyber pets in the 00s.
                                             

Mine was actually blue.
Until I painted her.
With a brush.
Pets.

And my third was a BLANK called I FORGET. I don't even remember anymore. I may have given them up to the pound. I'd feel bad but. I do feel bad.

Now, this blog post is about HTML, and normally my blog post titles are pretty irrelevant, however today, not so. As the reason I have a good knowledge of HTML is Neopets. It is.

So you may have seen in my post:

That's because I went in to edit some of the blog post in HTML to be a nerd for fun. Then realised it was pretty hard to know where I needed to put some code in so I wrote words in caps to find them. And check it:

Anway, I said one day I would explain those words in the blog. I could've just deleted them. But then you would have never learnt about my beloved Neopets.

And I was using past tense the entire time I spoke about Neopets. BUT I STILL LOVE IT.

It's just I can't log in and play it again as I've forgotten my password and lost my old email and haven't been logged in for years. Years. Do you know how many freebies from the Neopet Advent Calendar that is? They don't have Jesus but they still have Christmas. It makes me question a lot about our human world.
